I have some exciting news for anyone interested in making things:
The valley may well be on it’s way to having it’s own state-of-the-art fabrication shop. The planned location would be Holyoke, MA.
Like a gym, but instead of treadmills and weight machines, you get access to welding equipment and 3D printers (and much more). They’re even planning to offer training of all kinds to help you learn how to use the equipment.
I’m not connected to this organization but I’m certainly a supporter of anything that gives would-be entrepreneurs low-cost options and lowers the barriers to entering the market.
