Attorney Maegan Brooks
I’ve known Maegan Brooks since she worked for WNEC’s Law and Business Center for Advancing Entrepreneurship. We both share a passion for small and local economic development. She loves working with local, sustainable businesses that want to succeed, integrate with and support their communities. One of her other specialties is helping non-profit organizations establish revenue streams without it endangering their non-profit status.
Originally from Holyoke, she realized in law school that the best way she could help a community is through economic development. In the past year she’s kept her eye and ear out and recognized that that economic development is happening right under our feet. In quiet, unseen ways, a new wave of micro and solopreneurs are creating what will eventually be an integral core of this new economy.
This year she was recognized by Business West’s as one of their annual 40 Under Forty professionals for the work she’s done and the vision she has.
